The Alaska Angel Conference (AAC) is a group of investors who are investing in Alaska's tomorrow by investing in Alaska businesses today. The Workshop series, generally open to both Investors and Entrepreneurs, serves to both introduce investors AND Alaska businesses to Angel Investing, through webinars focused on what it takes to become an investible business.
The AAC increases the number of angel investors in our statewide startup ecosystem by pairing experienced angel investors with novice investors and leading them through a structured 12-week process of identifying, filtering, selecting, and managing a group angel investment. In the process, we help nurture the companies and mentor the founders who apply for funding and award a $100k+ investment into one of the startups that apply.
The 2020 Angel Conference schedule will break down how the investor group will work through the applications and ultimately arrive at an investment decision, which will be revealed at the final event which is on April 23rd, 2020 and is open to the public.

Coffee with Investor Cameron Kramlich (Ask Me Anything)
Come have coffee with us and ask Cameron anything during the first day of Alaska Startup Week!!!

Investor and entrepreneur Cameron Kramlich has experience working with a venture capital firm designed to support entrepreneurs in non-typical industries + non-typical locations. For the past 15 years, he's been an investor in Three Bears and regularly visits Alaska. He's interested in startups, entrepreneurs, and Alaska: what a great combination for Alaska Startup Week! This will be an informal, Ask-Me-Anything event to get Alaska Startup Week off to a good start. Ask him about starting a business, acquiring investment, selling or exiting a venture.... etc

A few words from Cameron: "I love meeting other people supporting entrepreneurs. The value add I can bring them is my Silicon Valley + China network, and the possibility of attracting other investors. As an investor I'm usually more comfortable participating in venture capital funds and co-investing in their deals...but always open to opportunities."

Hedwig and the Angry Inch - A Special Startup Discount Edition
Let's all head to the heart of downtown at the Hard Rock Cafe and enjoy this spectacular debut production by a brand new professional theater company in Anchorage.

Dan Alfalla has 25 years of IT experience as a software engineer with 15 years running a successful software development and consulting company where he specialized in helping startups navigate the difficult early stages of their development. Pair that with a degree in music composition and a passion for performance and you start to see how SoBroSol Productions came to be.

After arriving in Alaska in 2016, Dan decided to take some time away from IT consulting to pursue his passion for music and performance. Time off quickly turned into time spent forming a musical production company.

About SoBroSol Productions:
SoBroSol Productions is a brand new company based in Anchorage debuting its very first production, the iconic musical “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”.

Their mission is a simple one - Harvest the abundance of local talent, create opportunities for artists to develop and grow and set a high bar for performing arts through dedication and consistent rehearsals.
SoBroSol is focused on creating immersive live musical experiences for its audience and is looking forward to a long run of successful shows.
