“Plant my seeds that change perceptions, and connect the disconnected.” This is a personal mantra that conveys how Cindy navigates life and is aptly befitting to to connect the dots that further economic prosperity in the Alaska marketplace and beyond.
Cindy manages the Bristol Bay Development Fund – a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bristol Bay Native Corporation that was started in 2014 as one of two in-region initiatives to catalyze business start-up, growth, and survival. Additionally, Cindy is board director of the Native CDFI Network – a national non profit uniting 70+ members to further policies that create access to capital in Native communities. Cindy is also a board champion of a newly formed innovation hub called Health T I E to connect industry partners, innovation, and resources to solve for technology and workforce solutions in the delivery of direct care to consumer segments like elderly or individuals with developmental disabilities.
Cindy is a 30 year Alaskan having started her career in banking (and continued for 13 years), with additional experience in resource development and the support industry, workforce development, non profit management, consulting, and managing two Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) to provide lending and development services in underserved or underbanked markets.
